In appreciation of our volunteers this year, the Council on Aging- Orange County held its Annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner in April at the Promenade and Gardens. And it was our biggest dinner yet! With almost 250 volunteers attending the room was buzzin!

Volunteers enjoyed an evening of cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and dinner while celebrating the Council and the work of their fellow volunteers.

Jena Chomchavalit from the Preventative Mental Health Department and Richard Lujan, from the HICAP department were the evening’s Masters of Ceremonies.

During our annual game of Human Bingo, Friendly Visitor volunteer, Vera Ramirez won the Toshiba tablet! She has been a proud volunteer for going on 9 years!

Each department put together raffle baskets for the volunteers, filled with games, snacks, gift cards, jewelry and much more! Here are some of the lucky winners!

Throughout the evening our leadership team spoke about the hours of services dedicated in their respective departments. With nearly 25,000 hours of service over the last year we cannot thank our volunteers enough!

The Council was proud to honor volunteers for their milestones of service. Some have been volunteers for 5 years, 10 years, 15 years and more!

Thank you to our Volunteers for your hard work, dedication and service to seniors in our community!
